Floral Design

“Earth Laughs in Flowers”

-Ralph Waldo Emersin

Floral Design has become one of my loves in life. In June of 2021 I was hired at a local farm in my home town, Hadley ma. Not just any farm, a flower farm, they also did weddings and sold bouquets at local farmers markets. My first summer working there I worked part-time on the farm crew, it was a very intense farm job, 6am mornings jumping right into farm work. My favorite part of the job was Fridays when I got to make bouquets for the farmers market. Come fall of 2021 the fresh flower season was coming to an end and dried flower season was beginning. This meant dried flower bouquets, dried flower cloches, and dried flower wreaths. I love making these, it was a whole new level of design that I fell in love with. This past summer I worked full time splitting my hours between wedding work and working on the farm crew, it was exhausting but also amazing. I fell deeper in love with floral design and learned so much. It is, truly, such a beautiful art form that combines my love of nature and design.
